Utah
ECDataWorks has facilitated a process leading to many of our Early Childhood "data" stakeholders gathering together to articulate their data needs. ECDataWorks is assisting Utah with making many of these "data dreams" a reality.
ECDataWorks is moving Utah’s work forward by providing timely, practical and insightful technical assistance pertaining to the creation of next generation reports.
One of the major benefits of Utah working with ECDataWorks is the access to an entire team of experts, each with a specific skill set that will benefit our Early Childhood Data project immensely. It has proven quite beneficial to work with data and system professionals like these—that have been down this road before. To learn from their experiences and to feel the support from ECDataWorks has been an invaluable experience.
Stephen Matherly, UT Department of Health, Early Childhood Utah Health Program Coordinator
Utah became a collaborating state in 2016. Uniquely situated in the Department of Public Health, Utah’s early childhood integrated systems work presents important opportunities to bridge diverse stakeholder interests and needs on behalf of early childhood education and development.
The ECDataWorks team is working with state leaders in Utah to design an innovative community profile data tool. This tool will be used by early childhood providers, advocates, and state administrators for program planning and investment decision-making in alignment with the Governor’s policy initiative for early childhood coordinated and comprehensive services.
